Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
The body of a 28-year-old man who went missing on Saturday was found hanging from a banyan tree on the outskirts of Kakwan district under mysterious circumstances on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Zileydar Jatav, a resident of Kakwan town. According to the police, Zileydar went missing on Saturday morning when he left his house for a nearby field to answer the call of nature. When he did not return for a long time, his family members launched a frantic search, but in vain.
On Sunday morning, villagers alerted the police after they came across Zileydar's body hanging from a banyan tree near a water tank, about three hundred meters from the house.
Relatives who reached the spot on information expressed fear that some unidentified people had apparently killed Zileydar and later hung his body on a tree. Meanwhile, Inspector Brijmohan Singh said that prima facie it appears that the man committed suicide by hanging. “Further action will be taken based on the findings in the postmortem report,” he added.
